Centre Street Deli

1136 Centre Street
Vaughan, ON

A real mom and pop shop, full of families and elderly.  I love coming here for some good wholesome grub, this place is my go to smoked meat sandwich shop in Thornhill.

The line up on a Saturday afternoon for lunch but the wait is never longer than 15 minutes, they try their best to accommodate you as fast as possible while giving amazing service. The servers here sure know how to accommodate, they make you feel at home and you're eating at their house.

Bowl with Kreplach (Kreplach are dumplings filled with ground meat, mashed potatoes or another filling). The soup is a belly warmer, the dumpling skin is thick and the filling was flavourful. Taste like good ol' home cooking.

I love getting the The Classic Caesar Salad here, by no means is it anything fancy. I'm pretty sure they don't even make their own dressing or croutons but that's what I like about it; perfectly dressed, store bought croutons and bottled parmesan cheese!

This time I got the Corned Beef Sandwich Special which comes with fries, coleslaw and a pickle.

I always the meat with medium fat, it has the perfect amount of fat and flavour. It's super tender and just melts in your mouth.

I've had their Smoked Meat and Old Fashioned and both are equally as good. Centre Street Deli is a good alternative option for people who live uptown and are looking for some great home cooking.
They also something called "The Platter" and it comes with your choice of two deli meats, a stack bread, coleslaw, small fries and a pickle. It's probably the best bang for your buck and a great plate for sharing, it's around $20 for everything.
